CapCut definitely is not an issue. 95% of the videos I've had go viral ( 300k +, on approximately 20 or so) were all done in CapCut and I regularly get 2-5k views on other content I create, all used with the CapCut and Captions editors. And I'm not sure what he's talking about with the IG editor - it sucks in comparison to IG. So many more features, and so easy to use, even for beginners who are at all tech savvy. And I have had 15 second videos get 1 million views and 1 minute videos get 4 million views. It's the content 100% of the time - make it good, and double down with some solid body of text with relevant hash tags + (one thing he didn't mention) tagging relevant people who you want to see you video. I ALWAYS try to max out the amount of people you can tag on a Reel (20 people). With good content with something catchy in the beginning, relevant hash tags + relevant people tagged on the post plus some body text, the odds will be in your favor.

I made the mistake of boosting my post now if i dont pay, I dont get exposure

I stopped creating content for the algorithm since it changes so much. I just try my best to create and post what I consider to be good quality content and follow all the basic rules. I refuse to let them algorithm control me.

Social Media has become a popularity contest. Algorithms are being used to micromanage creators. Followers mean little-to-nothing if they are not seeing your content. Oh well.

Hey Dominik ! First of all thank you so much for your constant content. I have a little question, when I enter my accounts settings I have a warning for the tobacco use thing. It only says they removed a story from some months ago, that talked about tobacco what can i do to remove this or have my account back to normal. I fear that my engagement is being affected by this. RUclips started as a fun little hobby allowing everyday Joes to put stuff out there. It, quickly, devolved into what people mistake for actual jobs. Very few people are actually earning anywhere near a median income on YT and those who are "ballin" are scamming their young and impressionable audiences. YT created a false economy and called it "relevance." The fact is that this relevance is entirely irrelevant within itself. It's a pipe dream that many younger people have: "why work some job I don't love that requires actual skills to earn money for the things I want when I can just record myself doing things I like and getting paid for my cute quirkiness?" It doesn't really go that way and internet fame isn't all it's cracked up to be. Again, a false economy that is extremely fragile. Anyone paying anything to YT should get their head checked. The "everything is a subscription" model is also dying out. An entire sub-market has spawned to get people out of subscriptions....and, rather ironically, charging a subscription. It's quite similar to YT's model. Suffocate you with irrelevant ads so you pay them to stop. If you pay someone to not rob you, you just got robbed. I'm looking forward to watching this weak model collapse and to see what YT will do to try and counter. The truth is: as long as enough people cling to this false relevance economy, the longer they will continue it. If you keep paying for trash, they will keep selling you trash.

For better results, try to get strategic-use hashtags wisely and collaborate with influencers to amplify your visibility.

What i've noticed is posts and stories are for your current follower base, which get hardly any likes or engagement and then reels are for getting reach and bringing in new followers. I get average 1500-2000 views per reel and only like 20 likes or 500 views on a post

Ngl before this update even a regular edit or a remix of some sort would easily gotten 10k views now best of my edits are struggling for 2-3K views I enjoy the process of making content and my niche so I'm gonna continue either way

This is bullshit. I create similar content all the time. One reel got pushed to 500k views, other's don't. Literally i just did similar thing that other person in my niche did with 100m views, i've got just 7k views.

The reels that go viral are most of the time stupid or “funny” . I find these so annoying

I just started a new account yesterday. I posted 20 good illustrations (I guess) and I reach almost anyone. I have 5 followers, 2 are from a friend, other one is from myself :D It's kinda frustrating.

May i suggest som mic compression, it is hard to hear you at times because there’s too much dynamic range on your audio 🙏
